These terms govern your use of Humanixio. Use the service and you agree to them. If anything here conflicts with what your sales rep or a support email said, these terms win.
1. The service
Humanixio takes AI-generated text you paste in and rewrites it to sound less like a robot wrote it. We make no guarantee that any specific detector (Turnitin, GPTZero, Originality.ai, Copyleaks, ZeroGPT, or any other) will pass any specific output. Detectors update; so do we. Use the result at your own discretion.
2. Eligibility
You may use Humanixio if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 16 years old.
- You are legally allowed to enter into a contract in the jurisdiction where you live.
- Using Humanixio doesn't violate the academic integrity policy of an institution you're enrolled in. We can't police that for you. That's on you to check.
3. Your account
- Accounts are personal. Don't share your magic-link or login session with anyone else.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account, including charges incurred from your subscription tier.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for the reasons listed in §7 below, including without notice for serious violations.
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use Humanixio to:
- Generate or rewrite content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes another party's rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse our API outside the documented endpoints.
- Bypass rate limits via VPN rotation, captcha-solving services, or any other technical means.
- Resell access to Humanixio without a written agreement with us.
- Submit content you don't have the right to submit (e.g. someone else's copyrighted draft).
5. Subscriptions and billing
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. The terms displayed at checkout govern the financial transaction itself; the rules below apply to your subscription with us.
- Auto-renewal. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Access continues until the end of the current period. No clawback, no pro-rated refunds.
- Refunds. One-time Essay Unlocks are non-refundable once redeemed. Subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of the most recent charge if the quota for that period was less than 25% used. Email hi@humanixio.com to request one.
- Price changes. If we change pricing, existing subscribers keep their current rate for at least 30 days after notice.
6. Intellectual property
- You own your content. Anything you paste in and anything Humanixio outputs in response is yours. We claim no ownership over the text.
- You grant us a limited license to process the text for the duration of the request. We need this to run the service. The license terminates when the request finishes (or, for saved runs, when you delete them).
- Our brand and code(the Humanixio name, the UI, the model wrappers) is ours. Don't copy them.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account if you:
- Violate the acceptable use policy in §4.
- Fail to pay an outstanding invoice.
- Engage in conduct that exposes us or other users to legal or security risk.
You may terminate at any time by deleting your account. On termination, paid features stop immediately. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Humanixio is provided "as is". We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific output will pass any specific detector. AI detection is an arms race; we play to win, but we can't promise the result of any one round.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Humanixio's total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including any academic, professional, or reputational consequences resulting from your use of the service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Humanixio against claims arising from content you submit or distribute, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
11. Changes to these terms
Material changes are emailed to active accounts 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco. Any dispute that can't be resolved by email goes to the competent courts of Casablanca, except where local consumer-protection law gives you a non-waivable right to use your local courts.
